Now its time for WAFB to do a one hour show to educate us on what a hurricane is and how we should prepare.
Wait... Do we run our generators inside, or outside?

I’m just going to pray that it’s the GFS’s year this year lol

Something spinning off a gyre isn't likely to get that organized, but it is a nod to what rds mentioned about synoptic pattern (ridge over troubled waters) that it might be more together than your typical slop fest in June.

Will this affect my trip to Belize the week of the 20th?

I knew someone would post that GFS 06Z run.

BTW, I think the Euro is getting a pretty hefty physics update this summer. Who knows, it might be able to spot tropical development again.

latest from James Spann is one potentially around the 18th into mobile, and up to around Birmingham after - still way the frick out, but he said it is what the Euro is hinting at - i do not believe it will happen, but really who knows.

This is a pretty normal scenario for June to get a tropical system spinning up out of the southern gulf/WCAB off the Central American Gyre (CAG).
They're typically big but sloppy and weak tropical storms.
In other words, Spann is right to point it out and watch but there's a lot of time between now and when we have something.

Yes, thank you.

The reality is the gyre should be falling apart and the storm moving along by the 20th. Might be a little rainy.

Inside in the room where everyone sleeps

Not that I'm complaining, but to see Bismark, ND hit 102° yesterday with high temps in the Southeast in the low 80s is weird. Death ridge, indeed. At least they aren't dealing with their tornado season yet.

I agree Duke - he even said it would likely be a minimal depression if even - either way just some rain.
like i said - i do not believe it will happen simply due to how much time there is and how much it will likely change.
