Know what they don't do at those offices?
Neatly stack the formula on multiple pallets before stacking and shrink wrapping them.
This is not returned formula in the pics.
Same thing I thought as well, but the usual suspects just take the government/media at their word.
No fricking way is returned formula stacked and distributed that uniform.

Everything the government runs or takes control of turns to shite!
Posted on 8/10/22 at 4:08 pm to IAmNERD
Not to mention, who is gonna be returning free formula right now? They can sell that shite on the black market for a premium.
Not even the black market really…grey market?

Certainly not shape, size, consistency, the fact that the trucker is hauling a load of baby formula.
What do you think it is? Probably something the government has decided you don’t need, and they know best.
After all, they told you you needed eleventy vaccine boosters too.

This may be a crazy idea, but if they are routinely destroying entire truckloads of something routinely then maybe they should work on their delivery logistics and not deliver as much that does not have a direct use? Especially in a shortage?

Well I don’t listen to the government, so your theory is null

Why would they be destroying baby formula?
Because some was contaminated and killed a couple of kids.

that looks like powdered formula, which lasts a really long time and can easily and quickly be tested for a broken seal.
Well yeah, I know it’s not liquid.
I’m just saying that obviously the red tape, effort, and liability it would take to sort through tons of formula cans is too much trouble so it’s destroyed. If there was an easy way to resell it then it would be happening.

So the government would rather destroy perfectly good formula, in a shortage, than let someone figure out how to make a buck on it
Makes perfect sense.
If DC was transported to another dimension we’d be better off for it

Shouldn’t surprise anyone
For all we know all of that formula is expired or unusable due to where it came from during the shortage. I’d be interested to see what brand is on the pallets.

Is this the same trucker who warned of the impending catastrophic diesel shortage in the Northeast?

I used to work for a transportation company. Truckers misreading situations and starting rumors is a running joke.

Dry baby formula that was produced in Sturgis, Michigan was recalled due to causing bacterial infections. Two deaths are believed to be a result of this contaminated formula.

And so it definitely couldn’t have been poor sanitation on the parents part, and there definitely is no other, more beneficial way to handle it, right?

Not really many uses for contaminated baby formula
Posted on 8/10/22 at 6:54 pm to #1TigerFan
Weren't the two deaths many states apart? And not from the same batches (all the rest of which were consumed without trouble?)
Did anyone ever check the sanitation of the conditions in which those two formulas were mixed at the homes of the two children? Two doses out of how many thousand?

Was it ever even proven to be contaminated?
And more than a few people have said pig feed

I’m no formula expert, but if there’s a major shortage could you not just mix it, nuke it for 60 seconds, and then let it cool down to serving temperature to kill any contaminates?
