He invited a poster to dinner in Florida during a hurricane a few years ago. I'll have to go back through post history and see if he was ever heard from again. My suspicions say no.

Judging by what he ate as posted on the food board, probably takes 3 months to recover

I chuckled at these:

It cost $6.99, and although it was prewrapped, the cashier asked me for a tip.

She informed me that the salad bar was free with purchase. When I told her that I had not purchased anything, she told me to buy something next time.

Houston has a beautiful skyline. While it is not in the league of New York or Chicago, it certainly compares favorably to the skylines of New Orleans, New Orleans East, and Jefferson Parish.

You covered a shite ton of ground on foot in a few days. I’m impressed.

What kind of tennis shoes do you wear with your white knee socks?

He’s right about Central Market. The one in Houston is the Yankee Stadium of grocery stores.

Happy to share my upvote with you. Great post.

Next time you go, get an uber and ask them to take you to an icehouse. They may be unique to Houston and are certainly worth a visit. I think most of them do not open until maybe 7:00 pm.
