Either you didn’t have it last time or you don’t have it this time. Testing is shite

You have come to the right place.

Did you get an antibody test at least 2 or 3 weeks after March infection?

The fact that his symptoms were so mild this time means that his immune system did exactly what it should’ve done. Antibodies don’t mean you never feel sick. It means your body knows how to fight it off.

I started wondering if I should just get the JnJ shot to help fend off the next round and start looking at the COVID vaccine as the new yearly flu shot.
FYI, even with the vaccine you can still get it, still spread it. The point of the vaccine, and boosters, is in case you do get it you will either be asymptomatic or you'll experience...

Maybe it will be even to a lesser extent because you'll have the natural immunity and the vaccine; but the bigger point is you will still be able to get it and spread it.

Nope, never did get an antibody test. Figured with the flu like symptoms and positive test that there was good chance the test was accurate.

If you're over 50 you should be making regular visits to the doctor for check ups. I didn't start going until I was 54 because I thought I was healthy. Turned out my cholesterol was through the roof and I ended up needing bypass surgery for a blockage. So if you're over 50 and not seeing a doctor regularly, you're not healthy...just neglectful.

Your natural immunity didn't let you down... Hell it's been 1.5 yrs! That's pretty good immunity. Much better than the vax ever gave for sure. IMO, I wouldn't ruin my immunity with a less than vax shot.
But that's just me and what I'm doing. I had 2 weeks of fever but not so bad of other symptoms. Still getting over the lethargy and cleaning out the crud. But no way I'm doing anything to what I got naturally.

Test in March could have been accurate for live replicating virus (especially if PCR and cycle threshold getting positive result was 30 or less) but having strong enough immunity response to develop longer term immunity isn’t always 100%. It’s also possible this recent test a false positive or picking up fragment of virus or like mentioned your body fought it off with minimal symptoms just like what happens to some of the fully vaccinated.
I had vaccine but am a believer in natural immunity. I just think those relying on it should get quantitative antibody test few weeks after to make sure they had strong response. Even months after a test can still show if at a certain level that offers at least some protection.
