Isn't that how all scholarships work? I don't know a lot of 18 year olds who've paid more than nominal income taxes.
I took a shite load of y'all's money to pay for TOPS before I ever paid taxes.

Is this a serious post?

I do care that she's waving the flag of a shithole country that couldn't have afforded her any of this opportunity, likely out of spite for the countrymen of the place which gave it to her.

How has this girl gotten a drivers license

I imagine if she lives in an undocumented(illegal) home in Texas, her parents can't afford a car for her. she likely does not drive.

Her scholarship is to Yale, a private college, who give scholarships to people all over the world.

and a host of other things without being a legal citizen?

It's rough, but I've watched our maid do it with public transportation, using strictly cash, and being resourceful.

What specifically did she take advantage of? Did she take easy classes or collect a government check in stead of having a job?

Did she take advantage of the free ride her parents gave her across the boarder?

She had a part time job, went to school, earned straight A's and was given a scholarship for her hard work. What the frick more could you ask for out of a highschool aged kid?

Nothing, the beef should be with her parents and the system that allows and in many places encourages this sort of thing.

Probably a fine young lady.

We aren't talking about the other stories, we are talking about this story.

Maybe she's here illegally, maybe she's not, I'm not familiar with immigration law. What I do know is she didn't choose to be here, but she did the best she could with the hand she was dealt. I don't see the problem.

Exactly my original point

Kudos to her but she's bragging about being undocumented. Our laws are the issue

Revoke her scholarship. Seems ungrateful anyways. Too bad.

Her family not paying taxes is the problem. At least this is what I'm thinking.

How about her family being able to put their kids in public education without paying a single dime in taxes. She's literally had a completely free education.

How about her family giving enough of shite to get her educated?

We need more people like that in America not less.
