I don't ever remember being served warm beer in the UK. Maybe it wasn't quite as ice cold as the beer at Taco Mac, but it wasn't offensively warm.

I like the taste of warm beer. I just don't like the warmness.
I'd rather drink really cold beer that doesn't taste quite as good as it could than drink warm/minimally cold beer that taste better.

Beer in Germany wasn't always the coldest, but it was pretty good. It wasn't always filtered either. Nothing wrong with it, it kinda grows on you, changes a man.
