Just another small symptom of a sick society. People will say “who cares?” just as they do when buildings are renamed and statues torn down and players kneel and diversity classes are mandatory in schools and corporate offices. When white people are expected to apologize for the Crusades, when diversity quotas matter more than merit, when it’s racist if a black actor doesn’t win an award. All of these and countless other examples are symptoms of a society needlessly fixated on race and essentially anti-white.

By the way: the title is wrong.
It was 100% latinos not getting roles by default.
It was a total of 3 leads (and oh, Bridgette was an understudy for her Maria), but another of the roles actually went to a black student.

Digging deeper, it appears that the root of this is a theatre organization at the school called LATIN/X IN THEATRE that just expected to get the PR roles by showing up.
