I still agree that cops in the heat of moment after getting attacked have to regain composure before they often do and definitely before it becomes a beat down. If suspect gets injured, bruised, or even a broken rib or other bone during 2 violent resists between fleeing on foot I going to assume some of it is cost of the level of resistance even if a little late, but a group beat down once someone is completely down is what urban and rural trashy thugs do (haven’t seen video and going by others).
We should not respond with the same animalistic and trashy behavior but stand above it while still seeking and requiring justice and better police and policing.

If memphis riots…does anyone notice?
I remember listening to director/cast commentary for the movie 21 Grams back in the day, and I believe he explained that they decided to film in Memphis because parts of the city were similar to a 3rd world country…or something along those lines.

I could care less if they wanna burn down their parts of the city or loot I just hope no innocent citizens get hurt and no knucklehead makes it worse than it’s already gonna be for Memphis.

If you are running away, you really are not a threat. It's a stupid tactic but I really don't see how it could be could be construed as a threat to the cops. If the kid was not armed, why shoot, if he's on foot chances are he'll be picked up within 12 hrs.
LE has a duty to the public and themselves simultaneously. Not condoning anything, or condemning, but on a felony stop at least (if it was) and they run there's a consideration for the public. The means and methods are debatable, but that has been the reasoning behind chasing fleeing criminals or suspected criminals for a very very long time. It isn't new.
