My 3.5 yr old had this last week. Really high fever, horrid cough, tested negative for everything. Has been fever free for 4 days now but the cough is still awful. Doc says hes no longer contagious since the fever is gone tho

cant say for sure that i had that particular virus but i had something similar. Starting out feeling tired, runny nose, nausea. 5 days later had fever and chills. It took almost 3 weeks to get over and ended with a sinus infection. I tested negative for flu and covid

Both my kids had it, lasted about a week - 10 days.

We tested negative again for it all. She spiked 103.2 in the dr office. Took X-rays and he didn’t see anything. Doc seems to think it’s flu and the test is wrong. He usually doesn’t prescribe anything but he wrote a script for Xofluza.

Same. Took my 5 yr old in on Sunday as cough as worsened and it sounds horrendous. RSV, Covid, and Flu all negative. No signs of infection anywhere, ears and nose look great and fluid is clear. But man the cough sounds bad. We are on week two now. Fever has come and gone twice for a day each, low grade around 100.1. We are starting a breathing treatment tonight.
I have it too but no fever for over a week.

Might need more than one flu test. One of mine tested positive for strep last Friday but no flu. Got to coughing more and fever stayed around over the weekend, so took her back this morning. Has the flu, too.

We have it, too. Mine is a nasty cough and pure exhaustion. No fever or anything, though. I've had it about a week. My niece has had it just over a week. We both had headaches when it started, but those went away after the first couple of days.
No COVID (her doctor tested her) and nothing else to "diagnose" just an upper respiratory infection.

There is a lot of that happening. Testing negative for flu initially but then a few days later they test positive.
It sucks but it goes away after 3-4 days.
I got it bad last week. Cough still lingering.

Hiya Slag
I'm feeling better. Sitting at Starbucks right now. I have to meet with Sister Regina in about an hour to go over some things I've been working on for her.
I'm using the cough to my advantage right now. No one wants to sit near me or talk to me.

frick that. Their immune systems are all shite from being locked and masked up for so long.
Liquid IV her up and the rest of you prep. They have hydration packs for the little too, Paw Patrol, I found them at Walmart.
Get some Mucinex, that and just try and rest. Difficult with such a busy life.

THIS shite RIGHT HERE!!! Probably 60% of my niece's class has been sick and sounding like they are coughing up a lung.
They got out of school at noon yesterday. She went home and rested until trick-or-treat time. Went and got her candy, home by 7:00, in bed asleep by 8:15.
We are definitely taking it easy and trying to get to bed pretty early at night.

The youngest had 80% of her class out with the sick at one point. I thought they were getting sick too but it only lasted a day.

amount of gunk I coughed up over 3 weeks was amazing.
The body can be a disgusting thing. I’ve coughed up a banana pudding over the last 3 weeks

She took the one dose Xofluza so we will see what it does. Have lots of vitamin c stuff for her and they liquid iv drink.

This is just the pendulum swinging back when you try to isolate for two years.
That exactly what I told my wife...these mother frickers that holed up to 2 years are going back out now and catching any little virus they come into contact with and spreading it to everyone!!!
