So we won’t get 478 books, 312 podcasts, 59 cable TV specials, and endless Real Housewives of VA Beach drama over this operation?

The Venezuelan people are waking up to liberation today
Also wouldn’t be surprised if this turned out to be a negotiated exit between several international parties

LOL. Remember during COVID, "if it saves one life"?
But the left has never applied that to drugs, keeping felons in jail, nor, the big one, abortion.

Exact same argument MAGA is using here.

So who’s next? Kim Jong Un? MBS? The Ayatollah? The Sultan of Brunei? Any one of a dozen African dictators? Why not take out the Taliban again? That worked out well the first time.
Nope. Lots to clean up in our own hemisphere that has been neglected for decades. Last night was just the beginning.

New boss same as the old boss. But I’m sure it’s different this time, right?

Much better than the misery they’ve lived in for the last decade

Sure he was.
Should this be our foreign policy then?
When it serves our national interests, yes.
This will reduce Chinese and Russian influence in the western hemisphere, reduce the influence of islamic fundamentalist in SA, stop the illegal transfer of oil, slow the drug traffic, and give the Venezuelan people a chance to have a legitimately elected government.

The vice-president of Venezuela is reportedly in Moscow.
If true that should make it easier to install a government friendly to the United States.

Something tells me the deputy president is going to find a permanent residence in Russia

They already have an elected government. It just was not allowed to take office. This isn't Iraq.

The sheer arrogance of this statement is mind blowing. Imagine waking up to our capital being bombed by a foreign government and our leader arrested and taken out of the country. Then imagine being told we were now liberated. Don't you think the reaction of millions of Americans would be anger and rage?

It was already invaded by Cuba. The legitimate elected government was not allowed to take office but was instead hunted and persecuted. The Cubans controlled the military. We are just kicking them out.
