I ordered some specialty parts off of ebay that were coming from Alabama to Louisiana. USPS sent them to Pennsylvania and they are still there a week later. Now I guess they'll get caught in the weather and maybe end up in Alaska.
There may be no lower intelligence human than a postal worker.

When is someone gonna fix the USPS? First thing they need to do is deliver mail 3 days a week ( M-W-F for 1/2, T-T-S for the other half. And fire a whole bunch or workers.

The same posters complaining about mail not being delivered in an inch of ice yet defending schools in EBR being cancelled on Monday.

My favorite customers are the ones that bitch about us not delivering down their road. When I tell them they are welcome to pick their package up at the post office, their response is “I can’t get out of my driveway.”

So business as usual?
That sums it up as far as I’m concerned.

what are these 20 or so states where there isn't a delay?
Probably states that either aren't getting hit or are set up to handle major winter storms.

When I see something is being shipped by the USPS, I just hope they don't "disappear" it along the way.

Business as usual. I had some prescriptions mailed to me from 25 miles away on Friday of last week and they still haven't been delivered.
A couple of weeks ago the local County Treasurer sent out a letter to the business establishments cautioning them that they had to be certain that payments arrived on time when they are due on the appointed dates. The Treasurer warned that the Post Office could not be trusted to deliver on time. They further stated that if you were to depend on a mailing date to assure timely legal delivery that you would have to take the items to the Post Office and request that they be hand stamped in your presence as the automatic handling systems might not mark the item for several days. They suggested that you allow ten days or more for physical delivery of first class items and that it might be best to send time-critical items by certified mail.
The penny postcard days are gone forever as are the three cent first class letters that actually received first-class service.
