I can see you are on the same email list as me
I have never been as turned off by an organization as I have been by these USW bozo's. They are as unprofessional as they come.

It's sad really.
Gonna go to the hall Tuesday and see what's going on, probably get a decent number of percentage of employees crossing in Norco and Convent for those of you wondering about a hard number.
I'm seriously thinking about changing career fields or transferring to Geismar where I do t need to deal with potentially going out on strike every 3 years.
I had money I was saving up to remodel my bathroom and now I have to use it to live off. BS.

I'm going by the Hall tomorrow. Do they post the number/percentage crossed on a board at the Hall? I haven't been by there since people started crossing.

The union is becoming more irrelevant and it knows it, so it has to resort to these tactics. Glad members are becoming more informed and actually standing up to the bullies

They have a board with people's names scribbled on it by a kid. I guess you can figure out a percentage from that if it would he completed

I guess this would be a good place to ask this, but has anyone dealt with Veolia Environmental Services in Garyville...?

I'd like to voice my displeasure on the behalf of hundreds of USW operations personnel currently on strike currently at Motiva Enterprises Convent to "WALK-ON'S" for crossing our picket lines and entering into the refinery to feed the staff crew and those that have crossed the picket lines. You have definitely lost my business and any future business you may have gotten from me in Motiva's new dining facility they are about to build. And I can guarantee you will loose the business of many more operators and their families standing strong on the line

The "strong" thing to do would be to cross in order to provide for your family.

Wow. You are so tough. Bitching about a food company that is doing business, for people that are not effected by the strike. Damn "Walk-ons" for trying to stay in business. How dare a company use free enterprise and try and build a business. You are an embarrassment. I guess you have no clue what the American dream really means. To you, it should just be handed over and given.

Actually many local businesses are providing meals daily for our brothers and sisters walking the picket lines as well as manning the halls at Norco and Convent.

Didn't you get the memo, go back to work so you don't keep going in the hole
Posted on 3/1/15 at 9:43 pm to TexasTiger01
I would be willing to pay $3 per gallon if it would break the USW
Posted on 3/1/15 at 9:46 pm to udtiger
I would pay $5.00 a gallon if they canceled the contracts and direct hired the resources...... Or called me to fill the spots.....
