Looks like it..
If you were drafted, could you go run out and join the branch of your choosing or were you stuck?

I would run to the USAF and try to get commissioned as an Officer with my degree with the quickness.

Your draft number
134
was called in 1970.
If your birthday was just 1 day earlier, your draft number would not have been called.

157, I would've been drafted, if I was born one day earlier I wouldn't have been drafted.
I probably wouldn't have been drafted, though because I would've joined on my own accord.

I drew a 6 in 1972 but the draft ended before I was called up

I would of volunteered anyhow. Banging hookers and blow in a war zone sounds very appealing.
Exactly. I would have died of an overdose or syphilis before Charlie got me.
And yes I woulda been drafted

My number was 56 and that number would've been called in 1970. It also said if my birthday would've been three days earlier my number would not have been called

My dad's number was called. He was released from it because he was married with 2 kids at 21 years old.

Here are the actual results from the lottery on Dec. 1 1969...

Says my number was not called in 1970. Which it would not have mattered anyway because if I had been born in 1950, I'd have graduated high school in 1968. And by 1970 I'd have already been halfway through my first enlistment.
