15 years for a widebody, with existing .mil experience? That's farked. I shouldn't be surprised given that I crossed paths with an acquaintance that was an F/A-18 pilot that had to couch surf flying cargo at LUV.
ETA: In the light of relentless kvetching about the lack of pilots (I assume they always meant RJs), mainline pilot academies in the US, etc., it seems like the airlines are feeding the general public shite. I get that there are far more seats needed for 737/A320/A319 than there are for 777/A350/A330, but 15 years???

Cool bump. Pics reminded me of some great night sky pics I took this month while in Utah. So desolate out there you get great scenes of the Milky Way dust
Pics of the Great Rift. Just long exposure on the top ones and applied a filter to the bottom ones on iphone

I lived there for 26 years. Moved south in 2020.

Retired is an interesting word. As I sit here after lunch on a Sunday building fishing lures. LOL
Work more now than ever.

It’s comforting to know some pilots are concerned with taking pics on approach to Midway

I love flying. Mother made dad sell his after practicing touch and goes one even he caught a downdraft and dropped about 100 feet and bounced off the runway.
Scared her to death. I hated it, other than takeoffs and landings I was on the yoke a good bit.
