The last few years were pretty active moving a few watching in and out, but this has turned out to be the only 3 watches that I care about and wake up and want to wear.

I try to make myself buy a Seamaster 300m, but I never pull the trigger and the more they increase prices without changing anything the less I'm interested.

No pics, but I'm a newb.

In the past month, I dipped a toe in 3 areas just to get started, hoping to build up to a "big" purchase that really fits all the things I value.

Dive - Omega 300M ("Seaweed")

True GMT - Longines Spirit Zulu

Dress - IWC Portofino

I'm excited to learn a lot more, but it is overwhelming!

Unless you are constantly changing what watch you wear I have never really understood the need for a winder case. Seems like a lot of unnecessary wear on the movement to me. Be like leaving your car running when you are not in it.

Agree. I also get a lot of satisfaction out of winding and setting a watch to atomic time.

Is this just a flex? Wouldn’t think someone making a milly would feel the need to actually type that out on a message board.
Nice little collection though. Hopefully Obtuse will share his.

Did this cock bag actually say that?

I am constantly changing what watch I wear.

I thought the winders weren't bad for them. I thought they had the fancy kind where you could actually dial it in per watch and just have it "dumbly" spinning.

Recently went with Wolf. Pricey, but it’s immaculate

I, for one, commend the cock bag for humbly admitting he’s OT poor.

First "nice" watch I bought was a Hamilton field khaki. First job out of college watch.

Purchased a rhodium yacht master within the past year and it rarely comes off my wrist. One of the most comfortable watches I own.

Between those two purchases (first and most recent), I've gotten:

Tudor black bay
Mido ocean star in navy and rose gold
Fathers gold seiko
Deep blue diver
Boschette diver
Orient mako
A citizen eco drive in Italy. Never seen one like it, Google lense has issues finding it.
Bulova from father

Only ones that mean anything to me are the cheap ones I got from dad. The tudor and rolex can be replaced. Those two can't.

Thanks!

I'm now trying to figure out what I like in order to get a more expensive piece that really reflects my preferences.

What's your opinion of the few pieces that have 2 real GMT ability?

I mean the Longines, gmt master and the grand Seikos are wonderful. My choice would be the Citizen series 8. If you have the money for the Rolex GMT2 I would choose it
