I don’t know about extending professional courtesies and all that. I don’t even know what that means or entails. My job is 100% dependent upon truck drivers delivering the product I sale. Without truck drivers we as a nation are screwed. I will say this because I deal with drivers all the time. There are three kinds of them that we’ve employed or hired temporarily as an outside carrier. The first is the steering wheel hugger. This is the driver everyone can’t stand and gives the profession a bad name. The second one is the professional driver. They do a great job for the most part. The third is a delivery specialist which is becoming very rare to find and employee. Years ago a professional and motivated truck driver made damn good money. In the 1970’s and 80’s independent drivers could earn 6 figures and take 3 months off to hunt and fish, etc. Because of frivolous lawsuits, strict DOT regulations, along with many other bothersome headaches, this country has lost a lot of their top tier professional drivers. Truck driving is not an easy job. More respect needs to be shown to these people. Having said this, due to a large amount of idiots now on the road, they’ve lost their respect and unfortunately are lumped into a group that most think are morons. For the true, safe, responsible drivers out there that love driving a big rig delivering our goods and products I tip my hat to and truly appreciate them. To the idiots that drive in the passing lane, need more training, and are jerks, I wish there were fewer of them because they are the ones that tarnish that profession. Without good truck drivers I’m out of a job.

. I just don’t consider truck driving to be a professional occupation.
So you're OK with anyone jumping behind the wheel of an 18 wheeler and driving next to your family without training and certifications?

I truly want to know what “professional courtesies” this dude thinks doctors and lawyers get.

But truly wouldn't it be interesting if Chicken were to do an anonymous questionnaire to get an idea of what the demographics of this place are
I mean I've mentioned on here I've had campaigns where tiger droppings has been a part of the digital ad package
so I can make a pretty good guess
