All it takes is some sun by the pool (Vit D), zinc, dose of bleach internally and Primetine Mist. Cured.
I don’t even understand your angle here.

The aim is to keep as many kids in school as possible and not have to send a whole class home because of one positive.
Our school just sends the positive home for 2 weeks. Basically if you have symptoms you’re out for 2 weeks test or no unless pediatrician provides another diagnosis.

Yeah I'd be fricking pissed. I'm already stressed enough when I see a call from daycare
Preach, mine called today HOURS after my 3 year old daughter was injured. Oh no worries she just dislocated her elbow.
Been a fricking day.

This thread is a Hippa violation. You better hope JBE doesn’t find out who you are.

And people want to send their little covid carriers back to school to infect teachers.
I got little sympathy for them. I have worked straight through this pandemic so far and no hero treatment, no bonuses, no stimulus, etc. You just have to learn to live by the guidelines and rules. Mask up when you are close to somebody.
I have had 4 people test positive and 6 or more quarantined for spouses or other persons in the household testing positive. All together we have had over 30 test positive at work but we can get through it and so can they.

You do realize the state shut down the schools, not the teachers. The districts make the rules on who and who doesn't get sent home to isolate, not the teachers. Our district is open. The teachers are happy to be back at work. They are following rediculous rules and policies that are mandated from the top. These rules include no shared materials, keeping masks on kindergartens, and whenever a child uses a book, it has to be put away for 3 days. I think teachers are allowed to be little frustrated, as do other Frontline workers.

I am being serious here. I know COVID19, if you are someone who catches it and gets sick, is no joke. Like I posted on this board, my mom got it about 3 weeks ago and for 2 weeks she was really sick.
She is old, 73, but a healthy 73. Doesn't stop all day, very active. It takes a lot for her to actually admit she is sick and for two weeks she could barely move.
Actually this would be her 4th week and she is still not feeling that great. She wakes up and does her morning walk and do some other stuff, but wears out quick.
But are these kids having any symptoms? I understand it is important to keep them away from people who are more at risk
And I also understand this is a NOVEL coronavirus so there is still a lot unknown about it and there is some signs of long term issues, but when we hear about all of these students, whether it be grade school or college, how many of them are getting sick?

What on earth made you think things were getting back to normal?

Great, another Covid thread.

A child in my daughters class has tested positive. So she’ll be home for 14 days. Just when things looked like they were getting back to normalcy.

The whole class has to stay home for 14 days? That sucks
Our school is just a one day deep clean after a positive test
shite, got our first email today about a positive test. Even the students in contact with the positive test aren’t required to stay home unless they have symptoms.
Just hoping the school sticks to their guns as cases inevitably increase.

Thats good. I was just responding to the comment about "people want to send the little covid carriers back to infect the teachers." Everything is not without risk and we have to find ways to get through this. I am 61 and in a high risk group but I dont feel overly exposed at my work because of the precautions. These precautions at first seemed overkill but now they are not that bad for being healthy and employed.
