You can still get fries cooked in formula 47 (beef tallow mix) at Smash Burger.

Years ago there used to have a Dixie Maid in NBR that made great hamburgers. They didn't use those frozen patties. That place was off of Evangeline Street near Airline Highway. It might still be there but I'm not going to risk my life for a hamburger.
