You basically usurp their processes and throw off their metrics that they use to grade the online pickup dept. Nothing more, but they are bound to keep certain metrics. It sucks, but it's basically just like bureaucracy. It in and of itself causes inefficiencies when something doesn't go according to plan. Obviously there was an efficient way around it, but they didn't to that route.

Use them a good bit for free delivery. Got a Re manufacturer Samsung sound bar half off. Tested the power supply…no juice. Took it back with zero problem.
Ordered another Samsung soundbar and subwoofer upgrade unboxed for half price. Working great after 50 YouTube videos setup.
Will never purchase another Samsung product. “Hey guys, we’re gonna make a great soundbar and set it to all basic functions out of the box. Want Dolby Atmos? Good fricking luck!
Want Samsung Symphony??? Too bad your soundbar is one model under. And we make 400 models!
Sony: buy TV. Buy soundbar and subwoofer…actually works. Crazy concept.
Samsung: here’s a remote with 6 buttons that’s not worth a fricking shite!!!!! But we saved a nickel.

Haven’t been in a Best Buy since I bought a WII in 2009/10

My local Best Buy seems to be really good? They always have my orders ready within 20-30 minutes. I just had my washing machine replaced with a brand new one of my choice (as long as it was the same price) using their extended warranty because it couldn't be fixed. 0 issues at all. They're the only retailer that I know of whose extended warranty will cover burn in on OLED tv's, which is why I always go to them for my tv's. They'll give you a gift card and you can get a brand new tv of your choice.

Actually I had a great experience last weekend there. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the devices I was looking at.

Same. I use them over Amazon a lot.

Yep. If I can get it at Best Buy, I always use them over Amazon. And they will price match Amazon. Only thing I hate is they quit selling 4k blu-rays and blu-rays in store.

I made an online purchase for a TV last night. Their site said ready to pick up in 1 hr. I show up at 10 this morning.
You did see the part where they said they'd notify you when it was ready, right?

Personally I find it way better than a decade ago. I actually buy something from BB a couple of times a year now.

giving a donation.
Does anyone know how this works? You don't get asked this all the time, at stores that will ask you, but I noticed at wal mart when I was checking out at the pharmacy the two people in front of me wasn't ask if they wanted to donate, but they asked me and I told them no because... Why did they just ask me? Are they told to ask some many people a day or to ask every so many people?
The shopping experience is dead. There are processes in place that doesn't make it easier for the customer and everything is for show. Best Buy promotes the fact that they have great in house service right? Personally, I can think of a few times when I bought something that I actually needed to talk to someone. I know what I want and I don't need someone trying to sell me some bullshite warranty. I understand people do need assistance and they should have people available, but its all about them being able to claim they offer this or that.

The only time I go into BB is to exchange Soda Stream cylinders. When they wiped out the movies, there's no reason to linger and look for a $7.99 deal on something you forgot you liked.

It used to be the go-to place for cables after Radio Shack shut down. Had several brand choices for what you wanted to spend. Now it's one brand. Also, when I looked at over range microwaves all the stock was a couple yrs old manufacture dates. Looking at you Millerville Best Buy. Like it was new old stock. Bought same brand local elsewhere with a 6 month old production date.

I got a 60” for 137$ at Walmart. Best Buy is behind the times. Picked it up loaded it myself. Took ten minutes.

Maybe it's just the Lafayette store but I've had good luck with them. Their price match is good. I bought a new pair of AirPods the other day and Costco was sold out but on sale and Best Buy matched it without any hassle.
