I love these angry "New Orleans sucks" threads posted by people who can't afford to ever live there. Back to the north shore with ye!

Almost 18.8 in Boston. But it doesn’t consider itself a tourist industry.

Boston also has double the population Of New Orleans.
The daily impact of tourism on New Orleans is obvious.

Yeah they do a little, but the business people and doctors, etc coming in for conferences that know how to dress, act, and eat at real restaurants account for a lot of it too.

Wedding destination capital of the country helps.

Love that so many educated and well off international tourist love to visit. Frank from La Place who comes in just to see a sporting event and runs up and down Bourbon St. and thinks he knows Nola can just shut the fck up.

Agreed. Just saying with 18.8 million people, tourism is only a small piece of the economic pie. New Orleans lives and dies by it. At least according to this board.

If you truly love your state and have even half a brain in your head, you should know how stupid this statement is.

While all true, I challenge you to walk the river or French Quarter and you’ll quickly realize how there’s nothing like it in the US.

Lot of bars close together.

You can wander in and out of almost all of them for free taking your drink with you coming and going most of the time.

Bunch of teet clubs to wonder in and out of once you are good and smashed.

shite stays open late.

Krystals is on the corner to get some hangover food so you dont die as you stumble back to the hotel.

As for living their, no clue. Good food doesn't count. Every decent size city has more good food than you can ever eat.

No other tourist city have I ever been in that the entertainment is outside your hotel like the New Orleans French Quarter.

Vegas is close but it’s blocks are so damn long.

Love being an hour and half from my drive way to a $4 Bloody Mary at Erin Rose.

I never got the feeling TD hates LA. He just points out the massive problems that this state has and he's usually not wrong.

We should be complaining about the state of affairs in LA. We rank 45-50th in every meaningful category
