Why is your oatmeal frozen to begin with?

We need to establish an OT wattage threshold here.

Mine doesn't have the label, it's infuriating not knowing what wattage my microwave is. It makes me want to kill the next person I see at a gas station.

Popcorn takes about 2 minutes 20 seconds. Whatever wattage can do that

Mine has two settings: “Normal” and a Wattage doubler for “High”.
The normal wattage is 175. I always double it.

Panasonic Inverter 1250 W

While on the subject of microwaves…Years ago when my boys were young, my pic-less wife bought them pencils that change color as they warm up in your hand. Little frickers were not satisfied with the colors or time it took to change. They put them in the microwave to speed up the process.

Panasonic Invertor 1,200 watts.
This is what I have. However, when I tried to use it on my 1800w generator, it tripped the overload. Come to find out, it actually draws close to 2000w on my kill-a-watt meter. Had to use a setting so it only ran at "power level 5" which drew about 1000w.
Maybe the 1200w is the delivered power but the inverter needs quite a bit more to generate that amount of cooking potential.

—Now I know what killed my last microwave. I hooked it up to the generator during the last outage and it wasn’t the same afterwards.

If you are trying to run appliance on generator power, you will need a generator rated for 2 times the wattage of the appliance to be able to handle the start-up surge. I use a 900 watt microwave for tailgating that does not trip my 2000 watt generator.
