Quality images of gas pump girls seem to be sparse tonight.

Primarily Shell, because there are two nearby my house that are on my route. The other that I frequent the most is a Murphy USA.

kroger has cheap gas but you aren’t getting .5 off with your Kroger card. It’s more like .03 from list

Shell. It’s quality fuel I trust and have their rewards card that gives me .05 and sometimes .10 cents off a gallon when I fill up.

Exxon. Use the app. Don't have to swipe my card and it builds rewards towards free gas.

No Exxon, then I'll use shell for the .05 rewards

Costco

nah, there's a reason that gas is $.50/gal less than Exxon, Chevron, Shell and BP.

As someone who helps manage the largest liquid storage terminal in the country that supplies roughly 10% of the country's finished petroleum products a day, all domestic gas is the same.

Refiners and gasoline blenders are in the business to make money, which means they are going to use the bare minimum to make specs to sell it to a petroleum wholesaler (for the Houston area, say Susser) who then loads it onto trucks that may or may not have that name brand detergent additive in it (the Clean Air Act mandates that all gasoline have a detergent additive-Chevron, Exxon, Racetrac, Flying J, whatever...).

That gasoline blender could have bought Eurograde gas from a refinery in Spain, cut it with transmix, hit it with butane, then spiked it with the tiniest amount of alkylate to make the bare minimum gov't standard. This blender may work for someone like Chevron, or Vitol, or Koch, or Morgan Stanley.

My point is, gasoline is gasoline. Find the cheapest station that turns their tanks over frequently, regardless of brand.

You want to pay a few cents extra for Techron (I worked for CVX for 5 years and drank the Koolaid), go for it.

I think those places specialize in selling $3 to $7 of gas at a time.

I buy diesel, and it’s usually from Shell because it doesn’t have Biodiesel in it in this part of Texas. When I buy gas, it’s usually Chevron, Shell or Buccee’s Non-Ethanol.

I get better gas mileage when I fill up with Exxon for whatever reason. I recommend trying different brands.

My gas mileage is also slightly better with Shell or Sunoco ethanol free.

They put water in their tanks. The Asians as well.

State Dept of agriculture had to buy new equipment to sample the fuel it's become do rampant.

Buddy pulled up to an Asian joint in his state truck to get coffee and the owners/operators came running out to fill shite up in a bottle from a sample point. He watched them the whole time like wtf. They were freaking out with him sitting in his truck.
