Baw, you're trying so hard to appear manly by attacking people's fertility. You're obviously insecure somewhat about wanting it and trying to reconcile the fact that your wife had to talk you out of it.

But you don't care what the OT thinks

Minivans are purpose built family haulers. They are the most functional family car available and are designed to make life with small kids easier. I will never understand why people with multiple small kids would ever buy a mid-size SUV that looks 85% like a minivan with only 50% of the functionality of a minivan just to say that they drive an "SUV".

<——-Currently renting a 2018 Pacifica. Not going to lie, it’s not a bad vehicle. Drives well, features are nice, with lots of room (3 kids). Cons? It’s still a minivan.

Question is, can you get past the exterior to appreciate the interior?

We went with the Pacifica after long debates between that and the Pilot Elite.

Automatic sliding doors and rear lift gate, stow and go seating (easy as shite to take down and back up). 2 captains chairs with charging stations in the seat for their devices with separate TVs and blue ray players (can watch 2 seperate movies or the same), Bluetooth headsets for the in car audio, Bluetooth speakers above so the kids can talk with us in the phone, Soooo much room (can fit a piece of plywood laying down with all the seats stowed.....drives like a small SUV....did I mention the automatic doors....and your kids don’t smash into the cars next to them and you can get in while it’s pouring rain by waving your foot while hold 2 bags and a kid.

Never thought I’d be a minivan dad...but Holy shite it’s amazing to have one. Never would go a different direction, especially with the captains chairs.

People care about what people think and make irrational decisions.

Why do people who never haul things pay more money to buy a truck? Because they like the image or the way it looks.

We all make decisions that arent necessarily rational, but make them out of a want or status.

She chose an SUV because she has self-respect. It's the same reason she doesn't wear cargo pants and carry a backpack everywhere. I'm sure those items would be functional, but she doesn't want to look ridiculous.

bunch of dudes in here always complaining about not getting action from their wives.

be chubby
drive a minivan
be a slob
wonder why your wife thinks you're a chump

If it makes you feel better you're now team leader of the chump crew.

We had a Honda Odyssey until we outgrew it.

They’re far more practical than 3 row SUVs, but most people are too vain and insecure to drive them.

If you’re not a beta like that, I highly recommend them.

I've wondered this. Most SUV's are rounded out these days, and look like minivans. Not sure why they are more socially acceptable.

Be honest, you have some resentment towards your wife for fixing the minivan idea, right?

You ever tell her you're going to the bar and just go test-drive a Sienna instead?

Yes. I wanted it for sure, but it was her care so I let her make the decision

Bruh I wish. Fully reclinable back seats where I could watch tv and take a nap? Sounds like heaven

We thought about it for a while. It was tough. What did it for us, was that there is still a small console between the mid-row captains chairsin the Pilot, the Pacifica sliding doors, and the ease of Stow and Go. Otherwise, we would own the Pilot Elite. Plus, Chrysler has gotten better about maintenance and....it’s American made

I only ask that you have as much self-respect as your wife does. She's onto something here. Do it for her. I'm sure she's a nice lady.

We have a 2018 Honda Odyssey

Cons: Loss of street credibility

Pros: Space, comfort, practicality, ease of getting the kids in/out, and the vacuum cleaner

Ours has most of the options and, besides feeling uncool at times, it has been great. We don't regret buying it. Good luck in your search .
