Stainless.
Use it 4-5 a year.
Food tastes much better with it.

No it doesn't. I keep mine in a ziploc bag so it doesn't tarnish.

Not yet. My mom has like 4 sets from different dead relatives that I'll get one day. 3 of them are ugly as sin.

I have real silver, and I love to polish it. Weird, I know.

My sister may give me trouble with the inheritance. She lives in Denver and lives the life of a California type now, so she doesn't deserve the family silver that was hidden from the traitor Sherman and his troops.

So, the number may increase to 3.

You gotta tell this story Chief.

My dad came home to his house burgled. The alarm hadn't tripped because they broke out a window without dislodging the sensor (no glass-break detector, unfortunately)

Anyway, the usual stuff you'd expect to be taken were left untouched. Small electronics, a digital camera, laptop, etc. were all still there.

His and his wife's clothes were rummaged through and all the silverware and some silver serving pieces were gone.

When the cops came, they told them that based on what was taken that it was probably a band of gypsies that were traveling through the area and were suspected in a string of similar burglaries in the area. They might have been with a carnival (if I remember correctly).

They never located any of the stuff nor did they catch the band, but we get a laugh out of it now. At least, I do. It wasn't my stuff that got stolen.

I'll gladly invite you to our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners if that means I can get out of polishing my mom's silverware. She makes a mean sweet potato casserole.

My gun safe has three sets in it, I would love to melt all 2000 pieces down. They are passed down from like great great grandmothers so I am sure my children will be saddled with them at some point.

Thanks for the "offer," but after I get done polishing mine & my mother's, I have to make sweet potato casserole (among other things) for Thanksgiving dinner, as well.
