Ben Franklin. World class poonhound.

I've read this reputation was, at least in part, exaggerated by John Adams' writings.

The two men despised each other and Adams didn't shy away from taking shots at Franklin, even after he died.

I know a lot of people will say Jefferson and while I appreciate him, he just seems like the ultimate politician whenever I read about him down to refusing to speak bad about someone in their presence and then later badmouthing them. He spoke a good game butnid have him pretty low.

Hamilton was a fascinating man but it’s been a long while since I read his biography so I’ll hold off on him.

It’s got to be George Washington. Every source speaks to how great he was. I feel love for the man and I’m not kidding.

Author of this country’s Declaration of Independence
Err’body knows Thomas Paine wrote it and gave Jefferson the draft. Jeez.

None of Jefferson’s prior work even comes close to the Declaration of Independence. Paines thought prints are all over it.

Both.

Cherry role for giamatti.

Great series.

Adams, Jefferson and Franklin all come off well.

The issues are still debated on TD.

Adams era alien and sedition act our first patriot act.

I heard Jefferson's motto was "it's all pink on the inside."

He did not want that command, was grossly unqualified as a General,

That’s what history books remember but this is a man that showed up in full military garb everyday in the middle of June. He absolutely wanted the job.

Thomas Paine (born Thomas Pain;[1] February 9, 1737 [O.S. January 29, 1736][Note 1] – June 8, 1809) was an English-born American political activist, philosopher, political theorist and revolutionary. One of the Founding Fathers of the United States, he authored the two most influential pamphlets at the start of the American Revolution and inspired the rebels in 1776 to declare independence from Britain.[2]

Come on now no one with any Common Sense? Give me T Paine.
