Here is mine, out patrolling for a Dachshund to eat.

Haters gonna hate.
Surprisingly he stopped digging in the yard between 1 or 2.
Yeah, mine did this often but I learned to improvise, adapt, and overcome and put a baby gate between the living room and foyer.
Since I used to travel a lot, my parents took him and they decided to keep him. Ah well.

If you know how to train a Dachshund they can be the best dog you have ever owned.

Pretty much this. Unfortunately there are too many stupid people out there that have no business taking care of a pet rock much less a dog, then get all pissed off when you have to be an adult and actually train the animal.

I’ll admit to also liking Dobermans.
But pound for pound, my dachshund would wreck that dog

Exactly. Any dog will be a problem if you abandon it 12 hours a day

Ding ding ding! Another reason why they’re the best
Posted on 11/19/17 at 8:07 pm to Radler_the_weinerdog
Because they're stubborn as frick, don't listen, get meaner with age and just generally suck
Kind of like myself I guess

They pee all over the place when excited. Which is all the time.

I don’t allow feminine little breeds in my household. That includes dachshunds.

I could understand if you said bestiality, but whatever.
Sure, liking a dog breed is ‘gay.’
Good luck with the 5th grade EOC this spring!

Not every trashy person I know has a dachshund, but ever dachshund I know has a trashy owner.

I also share some dachshund personality traits. Why the hell do you think I like them???
Posted on 11/19/17 at 8:13 pm to Radler_the_weinerdog
My family used to have a miniature dachshund. It was a nice dog, but it was the most nervous dog I have ever had. Not fearsome at all. It was a little noise maker and terrified of anyone from outside the family. He was very quick to pee himself whenever he got nervous.

Chicks and kids love them "OHHH look a wiener dog!"
I usually have to run to grab mine so he won't bite them now. He didn't used to be like that.

He’s closed ranks on his list of acceptable humans.
Heads up: it’s a short list. You aren’t guaranteed to be on it, so don’t miss any feedings

They were bred to go in the burrow and kill badgers

They’re usually pretty brave behind sturdy fences
