Self loathing is my guess.

Another posted pointed out that there was already a widespread hatred for Jews in Germany at the time. I think the better way to see that move is that Hitler exploited that existing hatred of Jews, underlying nationalist shame for losing WWI and being humiliated by the Treaty of Versailles and its damaging reparations provisions by blaming the Jews for the defeat. It was a shrewd, if evil, political move that cemented his popular support. In addition to actual hate for the Jews, he also had political reasons for what he did.
I agree with everything you said
FTR I oversimplified the reason for Hitler's hate

Bolshevism was the threat to Europe at that time. Four of the seven members of the first politburo were Jews. Jews were seen as behind the Bolsheviks. A communist revolution in Germany forced Germany out of WW I and forced the Kaiser to abdicate. The Germans spent the next five years fighting communists in the east after the war.
The murderous communist regime that took over Bavaria for about six months in 1919 had the Jew, Eugene Levine as it’s leader.
The short lived but equally murderous Hungarian Soviet Republic had the Jew, Bella Kuhn as its leader.
That’s all the truth. Today people take it as some kind of conspiracy theory that Jews were behind the Bolsheviks. In those days, people could pretty much look and see what to believe.
Doesn’t excuse Hitler, but it does explain some of the conditions in those days that gave rise to what happened.

Nazis say that in order to understand Nazism, you must first understand Wagner. I think they are correct. Many of the Top Nazis were actual occultists. One of Wagner’s kids was a big fan of Hitler and her husband a personal friend of his. Hitler’s antisemitism didn’t come out of nowhere and was already deeply embedded into much of Western Europe.
Plus the only thing Hitler hated as much as Jews were communists, and he connected the fact that Karl Marx was a Jew to communism.

but does Hitler rise and become the same if the allies dont punish the Germans so hard after the great war
No chance in hell Hitler would have risen if it weren’t for the Treaty of Versailles. Looking at how Hitler rose to power, everything had to go pretty much perfectly for him. If Hitler hadn’t received an assignment from his superior to go visit and record these small group of lunatics called the NSDAP, he never rises to power. In the late 20s, Hitler was seen mostly as a has been lunatic, and then the stock market crash happened. Hitler embodied hatred and rage, and when you feel like you’ve been royally fricked over by the elites both in your country and abroad, you want a person like that in charge.

Again all of this is fact as well. They were the main reason for Germany losing the Great War.
Jews did own the majority of banks, media, academia, etc and pushed their perverted ideas during the Weimar Republic. It's no coincidence transsexuals, gay clubs, race mixing, etc was pushed during the Weimar Republic. (Sound familiar today?)
The Jews were also selling out Germany (during the Weimar Republic) to communists. It was only a matter of time, unless something was done, that Germany would turn Communist.

Hitler was a Eugenist who thought that the Aryan "race" was superior to all others, and that Jews were a weakness of evolution.
Evolution as origin of man made life of the weak worthless so Hitler thought he'd do nature a favor.

There's a theory that Hitler blamed the Jewish doctor Eduard Bloch, who treated his mother's cancer, for her death. This theory falls apart against the fact that after Hitler came to power Bloch wrote him asking for protection, which Hitler granted. Bloch survived the Nazi era, dying shortly after the war ended. One of the early Nazis, Emil Maurice, was of mixed Jewish heritage and Hitler remained friends with him, even preventing Himmler from expelling him from the SS. It seems that if Hitler liked you personally, he was willing to overlook most anything, even the thing he hated the most.
Not to excuse anything Hitler did, just to say it was more complicated that at first glance. At any rate, Hitler's background and experience was not much different than millions of other Germans, so what made him so unique? We'll never know.

The whole "Hitler was a loser! He didnt even get into art school!" take is funny.
Dude fricking took over a country and then used that country to take over half the world. And was worshipped like a deity by his countrymen in the process.
He was still bitter about the art school even as he was bombing Soviets to death. He first and foremost always said he was an artist even to his dying day. I don’t think that’s what made him completely snap (losing the Great War did), but he bitched about being a genius artist that everyone had underestimated nonstop.

I think it's both:
A) There are overbroad theories/conspiracy theories about Jews (meaning a group) being behind Bolshevist movements/groups. That's probably false in a meaningful way, because it wasn't some action taken uniformly or on behalf of judaism, and equating the two (Jews/communism) probably doesn't portray the circumstances or motivations in any accurate or insightful way. And of course, these are used to characterize Jews as a whole.
B) But it's true that Jews were probably disproportionately represented in those groups/movements and sometimes in leadership. And I think you can raise genuine and meaningful questions regarding why Jews were drawn to the movements/ideologies (and are still drawn to far leftist movements). But those are shut down because people get uncomfortable in light of prong A) and how those tropes are extended in order to demonize Jews.
Honestly you can apply these themes to most anti-semitism discussions or other discussions about why races/groups/etc. are drawn to certain activities or ideas. In a vacuum, they're fine and sometimes productive. But some nefarious groups will take those tendencies and run with them, which leads the academic community to shy away from analyzing them at all.

Was he?
I mean, obviously he was unique in terms of his abilities to persuade. But I suspect there were plenty of folks in the era with extreme opinions about the Jews (probably a product of prevailing bias and latent insecurities or whatever).

sure if we are just making up our own definition of words.
What definition are you using, exactly? If we’re being literal, he lost the war, his power, his mind, his life. Seems like a lot of losing to me.

Showing extreme hate for jews was part of his path to power. Germany didn't like jews, so Hitler doubled down on his hate for jews to gain support.

He believed Jewish propaganda was a large factor into Germany getting screwed in the Treaty of Versailles; as well as playing a large part in the negative public sentiment for Germany during the era. The Germans did get screwed at the end of the war, the penalties were far too harsh.
Also a combination of a lot of different factors. Anti-semitism was rampant in the 18 and 19th century. The reasons for that are many; albeit flawed. Check out the history of banking for more context there
