The point is the ones in that stretch are not shitty. It's a nice area.
I shouldn't pay it a second thought but it was annoying. And it's unsafe
If it's a side by side stroller it may not fit the width of the sidewalk.

Concrete is 8 times harder than asphalt. The damage it can do to your joints if you consistently exercise on it is actually pretty bad. I know multiple D1 College Cross Country coaches who would rather their athletes run on the edge of the road, where an ankle sprain is likely, than have them run on a sidewalk.

mine you she is in the oncoming lane
just for the record, runners are told to run against traffic so you can see cars coming your way.

Ah...the fraud "counselor" needs hand holding too.
I see you need a refresher on roads and sidewalks.

I'm aware of that, but isn't it the generally accepted behavior to then get off the road when there is a vehicle approaching?

Yep. People wanting attention of those 2 cars that may pass me on a 5 mile run

I posted the sidewalk. I had a side by side stroller. This one would fit.
There was NOTHING keeping her from the safe, practical option.

It's a low traffic, low speed, neighborhood street with plenty sections of shitty sidewalks.
Stop acting like she was running down major street.

Calling anyone a fraud while you're cosplaying Alaskan Bush People is hilarious, Roger.

I see you don't, as usual, understand nuance and that not all states ban running on residential roads. Most laws in states against pedestrians in the road have to do with highways and interstates, not residential.

Isnt it illegal?
Yes. In Baton Rouge pedestrians must use sidewalks when available. When pedestrians are in the street they must yield to vehicles (unless they are in a marked crosswalk).
Pedestrians in the road are supposed to walk in the left lane (facing oncoming traffic).
While it’s technically illegal to not use the sidewalk when one is present I would venture to guess that no cop would ever stop someone for that unless they were looking for a reason to harass someone (like a drug dealer walking down a street).

What's the law specifically? And is the language "highway and interstate"?

yes, you should. Eugene is a fairly busy street with two way traffic. If i was running with a stroller (long countless miles with one), i would hop on a sidewalk if i saw a car.
i know that part of BR well. Logged a good bit of miles there. Eugene has sidewalks but a lot of the neighborhood doesn't or has really shitty ones. Oak trees rip them up

It's the principle of the matter, all day long. I have to dodge motherfrickers who walk in the road feet away from a sidewalk, Acting like they own the road. They are walking in the road, sidewalk, right there, and won't even bother to move for an oncoming vehicle.
I have to stop or swerve. I'm tired of it.
It won't stop, But it should. Just be courteous and get off the road.

You literally said she got out of the way.

I get your point. If it was some fat arse strolling with a dog in the street, it would annoy me.
But It’s a mother jogging and pushing two kids which is a grind. Even with a good running stroller tree roots and cracked sidewalks will toss your shite everywhere. You need a good bit of snacks, water, books, ect to keep the kids occupied if you want a long workout.
