Because you have been a pompous asshat describing your love of being a parent

It's the best thing I've ever done or ever will do, and I've done some cool shite.Fallen in love, gotten married, lived in foreign countries, climbed 14ers, cycled across half of east Asia, did Ride The Rockies in 1997, traveled the globe, owned businesses . None of it is even close in terms of the importance or satisfaction it gives me. Not even close. All the shite we do, all the challenges we face, all the crap we put ourselves through, and the best stuff is the simple stuff. And if somebody asks, I'm going to tell them. You are mistaking joy and humility for pomposity.

Rage on bro.

I am sorry I have but one down vote to give. You probably are not involved with anything other than yourself. I venture to say it's a shallow domain....... Sorry for you bro. Hope you're a troll. You've missed out on life if you're not.

There's no mistaking it at this point.

Whether you care to admit it or not, some people are happier not having kids.

No I'll concede that. Some people are happy selling peanuts at the ball game too. I mean small ball is always a choice. You can always make your world smaller, eliminate as many variables as possible and exercise more control over your Universe. I just think giving up a bit of that control and rolling the dice with kids will make life feel infinitely more meaningful for most people.

I think it's pretty damn selfish to say you don't want kids. That being said, I think it's wise to know you don't want them and not have them instead of having some and regretting it.

I know a woman who had herself sterilized at a very young age (25-30ish). I applaud her because she is a despicable person. The world is a better placed if she doesn't pass on her genes.

That was indeed my undergrad major but I'm not working in the field. I'm a federal contractor sucking on the government teat for taxpayer dollars, you don't want my kind to procreate.

You are ignorant, plain and simple.
