I've got one named the same as a founding father and two named after two of the four gospels. I'm OT approved.

I hope Sampson turns out to be a 140 lb. gender neutral vegan.

White people have become as bad as blacks with the stupid names
Not just named, but the way they spell those names. I remember having to put together the draft for the local tee-ball league about 4 years ago. Out of a list of about 40-50 boys and girls ages 4-6 there were about 7 or 8 of them named Caden. Out of those 7 or 8, I don’t think a one of them spelled it the same way as the other. Seems like the most absurd one I remember was something like “Kydyn”.

What’s wrong with Terrance?
Also, you should tell them the french don’t pronounce it once, it’s more like ranse

.if your child can't find their name on a souvenir in a gift shop....you should rethink their name.
However I do hate the stupid made up names with 4 different spellings.

That would be “Samson,” not “Sampson.”

K-VIII-lyn already looks unhappy about the stupid spelling of her overused name.

I don't know.
I don't get why some movie stars don't give their kids a person name. They will name them after something like.... Moon.. or whatever. I don't know if any famous person has a kid named Moon, but you get my point.
Either way, I understand if people don't want to go with a really common name like.. Mike, Chris, Dave.. something like that, but don't name your kid a name that could hurt them when they get older.. In reality, people will judge them if they have a fricked up name.

You people are precious. Why get so worked up over something that in no way impacts your life? You might spend 47 seconds out of your entire life trying to pronounce a few odd names.
They're not naming you, not naming your kids, so who gives a frick?
There have been multiple comments about these parents being selfish, attention whores, and pretentious when you're the ones who want to dictate what others can and can't name their kids.
Never change, OT.
And before you get too triggered, don't worry, my name comes straight from the Bible : Methusela Dodo Mash. So I'm good.

And speaking of names, I’m going to take a wild guess here that you have a foot fetish based on your user name.

Alabama had a RB long ago, named Saran Stacy, named after Saran Wrap. I worked with a girl once. She named her daughter La Quinta, after the hotel chain.
Siran. Not Saran

I am 100% on board with these threads usually, but we just had little DP #4 and gave him a unique name. A real name spelled correctly, but I would be surprised if he ever runs in to another person with his name. No shame at all. His name means a lot to us and is awesome. Does not end in -ayden or any variation thereof.

I don't see anything wrong with this. Especially if it means something to y'all.
We have a boy and girl name picked out that aren't in the top 100 for either sex. I don't want my child to have the same name and everyone. But both, like yours, are real names that are spelled correctly.
