Because wine tends to be sweeter and easier to learn to like than beer for most people, imo
I am a pretty indiscriminate drinker, I will drink most kinds of beer, wine, and liquor. I've tried getting more into wine but I always come back to beer.

Why do men do the same thing with beer? Men laugh at beer memes, think it’s cool to order an odd beer, and think drinking beer is manly.

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a glass...or bottle of wine occasionally. I know exactly what type of wine I like and which region it comes from. I find most of my female friends are the same.
I find most guys don’t know a lot about wines...I think that has more to do with it being viewed a “less manly” to drink wine vs. beer.

Advertisement & Social media. Damn near every girly show that comes on has women drinking wine. They get together and watch The Bachelor and drink wine. Then they go to yoga and drink wine. Hell, you can't go to a child's birthday party without these moms busting out the wine or champagne. All while posting pictures all over social media, with a reference about wine.
IMO, women's have just taken it to social media more than guys - therefore, it's in your face...if you're on social media.

I never said it was less manly....but a lot of people view it that way. I think it’s wonderful when a guy knows about wine.
Although, I do find it hard to watch a guy order a mixed drink. That crosses the line a bit for me.

I’m not referring to something like an old fashioned I’m thinking more when a guy orders a super fruity drink like a cosmo or lemon drop. It’s just something that’s a turn off for me. I’m sure you have things that women do that turn you off.....
