Does anyone else think this is a little creepy? I've never seen anything like this before in the auto industry. Mercedes, Ford, GM, Dodge, Toyota, etc. etc. They all make the same exact van design, and every other truck I see on the road is a white sprinter van.

WTF?

That Mercedes sprinter is bad arse.

You can also configure them to whatever you want.

Yes, thank you. I know what they're used for. Wasn't the question though.

It's like some of you try to think of the biggest dickhead response you can come up with.

And you're a retard.

I didn't ask why companies make vans. No fricking shite, huh? I asked why they all make the exact same design.

Thanks for the unqualified condescension, though.

How dare you. Chevy has been running the express van since dinosaurs roamed the earth. 1996 and going strong, middle finger to the tall van.

That’s completely false. The Sprinter has always been a Mercedes-Benz product. It was first released by Mercedes-Benz in Europe years before they were even available in the US.

Mercedes chose to badge the Sprinter as Freightliner and Dodge in the US for branding reasons. But even then, the Dodge Sprinter passenger vans were completely assembled by Mercedes-Benz in Germany and then imported. The Freightliner cargo vans were assembled in Germany, partially disassembled, then reassembled in the US for tax reasons.

Currently all of the Sprinters are badged as Mercedes-Benz (since they divested of Daimler & Chrysler) and they are shipped as kockdown kits from Germany, assembled by Mercedes-Benz in the US.

It was never a Dodge/Chrysler product. It was a Mercedes-Benz product with a Dodge/Freightliner badge in the US for marketing reasons.
