agree. But if it anything like the local Alexandria Little league the worst travel team in the area would win every game and have an average score of 12-0.
We have LL in Alex??

LL field dimensions appear to be a lot shorter than most travel ball fields

So not only are you going to ruin the rec season with a team of ringers
Man, I was reading this thread real fast and a word popped out at me there. Glad it was my mistake.

Now, from what I've heard, quite a number of the kids on the LA LLWS team do play travel ball. When my kid was 12, the East Bank LLWS team had several players from La Rip and Luling Cubs.
Had a discussion about this the other day. I asked someone who is involved in youth baseball if the LLWS teams are travel ball teams or all star teams from rec ball.. And his answer was... "both".
More than likely, the teams in LLWS played together as travel ball teams, the kids join rec ball and those kids end up making up the all star team. Or if they enter as their own team, they end up dominating the league and winning their way up.

I legally changed my son's name to jayden and he is now the starting ss for an elite majors travel ball squad. Before the name change he was sucking hind teet on the rec team as a backup right fielder.

Yeah I’m seriously confused with all these leagues and categories. As a kid I’d just play at the local parish playground with all my friends. If I had a good season, I’d get picked for all stars. And it was fun. Seems complicated now.

The LL team from LA that won went toe to toe with Major League teams.

Most leagues in LA are dixie youth, actually most of the south.

In some Louisiana LL districts, a coach will have his travel ball team play in February and March. The spread the kids across multiple teams for LL rec ball. Then when the all-stars are chosen, most of the players will be from that travel ball team. A couple of other kids might make it and contribute. I have seen this consistently in southwest Louisiana. Would not be surprised if some if not all of the River Ridge kids played for some of the big NOLA travel ball teams. You do not get that good, playing over the course of a couple of months. They were definitely groomed for this for years. Probably since they were 6.

You have to realize that for most people, it isn’t about the kids

Wow, that’s a bit creepy. You know the names of these kids and where they play travel ball?
