Your young kids forced you to move back? Because that seems like a choice to me

Is his house worth over 1 mil????

Highest tax bill I've seen in Frisco ISD was around 12k. Which is still cheaper and keeps culcha out.

Got to work in Colorado for a summer and didn't want to put my camera down

I love fishing the marshes and been through some swamps, but time Rockies, for the myriad of potential activities are vastly superior. I used to camp, hike and fish in Utah on multiple vacations during the 1990s. Could definitely retire there.

Not sure what the ISDs are like in Houston but that must be a balling house. I live in Southlake ISD and don't pay nearly that much for my house.

Depends on where you live. It's mild along the Southern coast. There are places that don't see snow.

Good Question. Just got back from the Costa Rica. Even the fricking rain forest has better weather than us.

LINK

There's a calculator baw lol. Avg percent is 1.94% of appraised price and there are deductions for elderly and folks living in ISD.

I can move 5 minutes up the road and send my kids to a Frisco ISD or move 15 minutes up the road and send them to a McKinney ISD for free and get a better education than most catholic schools in the Metro area.

I don't buy this. What is the size of those schools, 2,000-3,000 kids of all sorts? What do those schools do with the trash?

Didn't say it was, you petulant baby. Just pointing out that my state is better than yours.

Because some people are too afraid to move away from momma, even if it might provide a better life for their family.

That's almost 3 times what you'd pay for the same house in LA. So I save all of that while my kids aren't in school and then can easily pay for them to go to the good schools without being tied to certain neighborhoods. Then I no longer have to pay it when they're out of school.

How "free" are those good schools again?

Shel could tell you more. But here is a picture of McKinney High.

Riff Raff can't afford to live in McKinney for the most part.

If we moved away, we felt like the majority of our vacation time would be spent traveling back to Louisiana to visit family. Now that we're going to buy here in Louisiana, we'll have plenty of spending cash to go towards vacations that we can take wherever we want.

So accurate

Are you conveniently forgetting about State Tax , La residents have to pay?

Just like you conveniently used a $250k house for your property tax calculation?

And that's the average for the entire state. What's the rate for the good school areas?
