It honestly amazes me the amount of people who think it’s ok just to toss trash on the side of the road
The worst are the people that dump their ashtray or an entire eaten box of Popeyes out in a parking lot. There's a fricking trash can 30 feet that way a-hole.

Democrats and low income non-democrats.

Trashy people live in Louisiana, not a shock. Have seen multiple times where people throw everything out of their car onto the street

Parolees, and inmates in local prisons should absolutely be forced to clean up detail of litter and trash along roads and highways.
The people littering are of the same mindset as the ones that get locked up, punish their future self and relatives... and littering slows to a crawl.
Inmates already do litter details. Unfortunately, it’s city people passing through that throw their McDonald’s bags out the window. fricking rich educated people don’t give a frick about anything or anyone. Then they blame it on poors. What trashy people.

It’s due to the ignominious legacy of the avarice of certain progenitors

It’s all biodegradable. Relax.

There isnt much culcha in western St. Tammany yet the sides of the road was littered. Looked like they havent been cleaned in years.
flooded a few weeks ago up there. I'm guessing that with the rain we've been having the prison crews haven't made it that far out of the city yet.

I have lived in Jackson and Montgomery then moved to Auburn and Huntsville and can also agree that a desire to keep your town clean seems linked to demographics and socioeconomic status

Cause people don’t give a shite.
And a crappy economy.

I thought this was going to be about the two chicks that OD’d in their car on Canal.
Or the sewer smell that permeates throufh New Orleans.

There is a state highway in my area. The first 3-4 miles of residents are all of the same demographic. There is a turn off that goes to more of the same. Past there houses start getting a lot more expensive. Always amazes me the amount of trash and litter in that first few miles. It seems people throw the trash out before they pull in their driveway.
I once witnessed a larger female walk across the highway to check her mail. As she got to her mailbox she slung an empty coke can in the ditch.
These people just don’t gaf

Because the cultha litters and likes to throw their McDonalds bag out the window or just leave it on the ground after eating.

Such a cop out. Zero education or financial stability is required to put your trash in a trash can. It simply takes a modicum of decency or thoughtfulness.
I will say that a lot of the highway trash is from stuff flying out the back of trucks. That’s carelessness and I’ve been guilty of that too. And some routes have garbage trucks pass through which of course drop shite all over.
But yeah, Louisiana is the dirtiest state I’ve been to. Trashy people.

Did you pull over and pick up the trash or just bitch about it hoping someone else does?
If he did that, he’d never get where he’s going.
I once decided to spend a morning picking up trash in City Park in NOLA. Foolish me only brought a handful of hefty bags. It’s just disgusting.

Louisiana has less conscientious people than many other states. Particularly in regard to environmental issues. It’s always been that way.

The two places not to get stuck in traffic:Baton Rouge and Nola. I looked down the streets when backed up and saw trash lining the streets. My response what a fricking shithole. True story

It is ignorance coupled with entitlement coupled with lazy, neglectful “don’t care” attitude.

I agree. I remember seeing people in my little town growing up throwing trash along the roads like it was no big deal.

Auburn belongs in and to Alabama.
Huntsville, not so much.
If you want to see something different, go to (most of) Germany (especially what was West Germany), Switzerland, Austria, or Scandinavia.
Their version of culcha ain’t our version.
ETA: Japan too. Them folks play by the rules.
