Depends on what you’re into. If you aren’t a huge LSU sports fan- Baton Rouge is dogshit

Good restaurants, museums, shopping, arts, music, and once the River Center theater opens back up in a few months, shows. And then if you're even mildly interested in sports, you have everything from LSU football to gymnastics and everything in between.

But sure, hurr durr if you don't get murdered hurr durr.

It always humors me when this board is shocked that the Baton Rouge housing market is red hot.

Well South La has a BAD heroin problem. North La definitely has some BAD meth problem areas.

I was born in BR and I do love the city, but it is a loop-less Shreveport if it didn't have LSU. But Sister Cities shouldn't fight. We are all Louisiana after all. Alex and Shreveport both have better airports than BR, which is very surprising.

That's a little unnecessary. I happen to enjoy it here. I do live a little outside of town so I never smell the place.

We lost a five star recruit due to the mean streets of Welsh.

I would be surprised to be convinced that Shreveport can rival Baton Rouge in the areas in listed in 2021, but hey, if so, I'm genuinely glad to hear it

I don't dislike BR by any means. I wouldn't doubt the property value is immensely higher overall in BR (probably a lot due to LSU). Granted there are some really really wealthy people/areas in Shreve/Bossier and some gnarly houses. But I was just saying they aren't that different of a city except for LSU. This division has to stop for La to take steps forward.

ETA: I blame the lack of an interstate corridor connecting places like Shreve/Alex/Monroe directly to BR and, by default, Nola.

Not sure if they qualify as cities, but the Bridge City, Avondale, and Waggaman corridor is brutal. FYI- add Marrero and Westwego for a complete hand and I just won the pot.

Richwood Louisiana. The mayor and council still cant agree on a budget since July. Aldermen may face criminal charges. It's a shite show. The City of Monroe should move their zoo out Richwood.
