Just got back from SA. Don't see why you wouldn't stay there for a million. nowhere near what the media makes it out to be. Especially if you can get a job working for Aramco. The Aramco compound is like being in a small US/British city. Seeing how Indians flock to Saudi to get jobs I would not want to stay in India for any extended time.

SA is not so bad finding a whore house and booze is next to impossible stay vigilant. Middle eastern countries do have the best fast food restaurants as well. Dance clubs without beer will make you want to kill yourself.

India is a wild place. I haven't been to Saudi but my gut says India will be more loose and entertaining over the long haul.
As Shark said, there is no order to India. To survive there you have to shed a lot of what you know and let it take over. Sounds like bullshite but true.
Million dollars is easy. I'd stay at an Oberoi the whole time.

Saudi, India and Nigeria are on our lists of places we wouldn't live.
However, if I had to choose between India and Saudi I'd go with KSA. I've been living in Muslim countries for three years. It's nbd. Both were/are pretty Muslim-light though. KSA is a totally different ball game.

Weird question to pose. Neither of those countries are inherently dangerous, no moreso than the US, so yes I'd live there for a few years for $1 million.
