the most vapid, uninteresting, and useless people on the planet move to the pnw to wear puffy jackets and go "hiking" so they can talk about how outdoorsy they are

I like this house. But to live comfortably in Seattle would require hundreds of millions in net worth.

Probably not. Primarily because I just don't like the cold.

Surprised they have that many diabetics. People don’t seem that fat. Must be type 1.

Most have Kurt Cobain graffiti on them in honor of their most famous diabetic.

Y’all need to realize Washington state is the same as the south politically

I guess except that statewide policies don't reflect that

Maybe I'm just getting older but I find it disconcerting to live around people not pulling in the same direction as me. It's not that I hate them or can't stand people who think differently, it's just the absence of people in authority who care (or pretend) to care about what you care about makes me uneasy now that I have a family.

Plenty of good folks out there. Don’t let the libtards ruin a good thing, those crazies are everywhere these days anyway. It’s beautiful out there. One of my best friends lives out there and loves it and he’s MAGA. You don’t have to live in the suburbs either, plenty of places nearby where you can keep to yourself.

Yes. It's one of the best areas of the country. I lived there for several years and am in the process of moving back.

If I had the means I would live out there in a heartbeat.. I don’t let politics dictate my life like others do.

Did you even bother to read your own link?
It contradicts your entire initial statement. Why do you feel the need to just completely make shite up?

Vashon Island is cool. Mayberry meets Burning Man.

But the weather is bleak for 7 or 8 months a year. In winter, it is stone cold dark until late in the morning and again just after mid-afternoon. It’s light grey in between. If you live in a wooded area, you have patches of dark green gloom year round.

The people are odd, in my opinion. The prevailing sense of humor differs markedly from mine. It’s darker and much raunchier.
The work ethic is pretty different as well.

The people in general have this sort of whole-grain hubris about them. And if you say something intelligent with a Southern accent, well, they look at you with the same stunned gaze as if the dog had said it.

That’s my take. YMMV.

One thing I found funny being in Portland last week Everyone had 4 wheel drive vehicles with outdoor racks and every single outdoor store sticker on the back possible Yet, a little snow and ice shite the entire city down for a week yet I drove over 550 miles around the entire area doing site visits in a 2 wheel drive Elantra as a south Louisiana guy.

Transplants. Snow always shuts them down.

I commuted 4 days in a row outside that area in the snow/ice and I enjoyed having the highway to myself.
