Grew up listening to him early Saturday mornings at the camp as we were waiting for nautical daylight to takeoff on the water or drive down the road to fish off the bank of LA1.

He will be missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

He's still kicking, just retiring to go enjoy those Friday nights/Saturday mornings

WWL was the soundtrack of the early 2000's for me, my grandparents listened to it constantly.
I tuned in the other night from MO just for old time sakes but it's obviously all different now.

I don’t really hunt or fish but if I’m driving somewhere by myself on Saturday early mornings I’ll listen because I think it’s insight into something I don’t know much about
Plus… the weekly bad boys segment was gold

Did a radio appearance with Don on Kevin Fords fishing show in the late 90s. We drove together to and from Baton Rouge from Mandeville. He is the same person on or off air. It was a cool ride in his pick-up then.

And not for the better. It really started going downhill once they got rid of Spud.

By the way, why did WWL get rid of Spud?

WWL thought giving Angela Hill his time slot was a good idea, it wasn’t and that’s how Scoot ended up in that time slot.
