I think the differences are that NOLA has a better contract and they were booting people until they paid.

BR doesn’t see shite from this and there is no enforcement mechanism.

Even if there was, who parks on the street in BR in public? Everywhere has private parking lots or garages.

We got a letter from some out of state law office a few days ago for a ticket from 2016. Opened it and saw what it was. Straight in the trash.

This is the company who is under contract for the camera program in EBR.

American Traffic Solutions

David Roberts is the president & CEO.

They should change the use of these. Move the cameras to intersections where people block the box and send tickets for that shite.

But seriously though, frick every single one of those people on their cell phone blocking the lanes on Perkins trying to turn onto College.

It gave me much pleasure ripping the ones I received up and throwing them into the trash. They’ll never get a penny from me.

College at I-10 Eastbound - 2116 Citations Issued

I swear that intersection is rigged as well.

I would never pay them, since they can’t enforce them but I think they definitely influence the way people drive, and in a good way

Remember, no one can legally come after you for this, neither criminally nor civilly. In the USA you do not legally owe a debt to any company that you did not sign a promise to repay. Furthermore, there is no proof of who the driver of the vehicle was at the time the 'infraction' was committed. T
I agree with you but what do you propose someone do when a judge issues an arrest warrant for failure to appear in court?

There is no court appearance involved here. It is strictly “Mail a check to this address in Arizona.”

I think something like 30% of them get paid.

I’m surprised it is that high.

Even the bird cage liner around here openly admits it is unenforceable.

Also, since she is technically Parish President or whatever, do St. Georgians still get to vote in the Mayoral election? I hope so.

Until the offices of BR mayor and EBR parish president are split, I would think that any resident of EBR Parish can vote in the mayoral election. The first step in making BR a better place is to vote this racist woman out of office.

Tell them to show their proof that you received it. Mail gets lost all the time.

We can. But the numbers in NBR elect the mayor. We need to grow St George if we want a shot.

That one at Sherwood and Coursey is the worst.

It's not even calibrated correctly. If you take a right turn on to Coursey from Sherwood (which is legal), it still goes off and issues a ticket.

Studies done on red-light cameras find an increase in traffic accidents at the intersections where they are placed.

Doesn't happen because its not a criminal infraction. In order for a court to order a subpeona, the company would have to file a lawsuit.

got a ticket at this intersection. In the first pic you see my brake lights and I'm in the right turning lane. The second pic I am making a right on red with no one coming through the intersection. I'm assuming I made a very slow, rolling stop. It's pretty fricked up that they sent me a ticket for this shite. I sure as hell will not pay it.

I got one like this and paid it. Technically your car is across the line, so you really did "run" the light. But frick them. I got a speeding in a school zone for going 21 in a 20. I never paid that one. It's been 3 years and nothing.

Don't pay these scams.
