I have it adjusted all the way down. Still sux. I dont routinely dry fire my guns, but i dont think dry firing once in the store is gonna cause catastrophic failure.

If you bought an A22 and the trigger is your disappointment instead of the magazine, I don't know what to say. That trigger is the easiest to adjust that you can ask for. The allen wrench should be in the box and you should see the hole in the trigger guard to go through to hit the adjustment.

I have several 10/22's and a Marlin Model 60 I got from my dad for my 13th birthday in 1985. I prefer the Marlin.

The downside to the 10-22 in my opinion is that it's a pain to load the magazine if you're going to be doing a bunch of plinking.

I just got two cans last week. My total wait from dropping the form 4 in the mail to the call from the LGS was 189 days.

SOON.

Not sure this is accurate but I’ve alway thought that it isn’t good to dry fire rimfire

It generally isn't. The way most of them are designed, the firing pin can contact the lip of the chamber (and MIGHT cause damage to the pin, the chamber or both) if there isn't a bullet there. You'll almost certainly not damage the rifle doing it once. If you do it repeatedly over time or if you get unlucky the one time you do it, though, you definitely can hurt the rifle.

In my opinion this gun shop would be a perfect fit in your situation.

I'm I the only one who has had terrible results from the 10/22? That is my least reliable gun, cheaply made, and not really comfortable.

That’s the great thing about it. If that’s the case change the barrel and internals. You can make it very accurate.

If it’s uncomfortable, change the stock.

I'm pretty sure the only part of my 10/22 that is still stock is the receiver. Internally suppressed barrel, Magpul stock, Kidd trigger group, match bolt, Volquartsen bolt stop.

I bought 3 Rem 700 purely for the action.

It’s fun and I like to tinker with stuff.

The magazine is not great either, but I have the trigger adjusted all the way down and It's not anywhere close to what I expected. I didn't say it was hard to adjust, it just has a longer and harder pull than I expected.

For me, it's because I wanted a takedown .22LR with an integrally suppressed barrel. You're limited in your options, mainly because I could find three companies who make takedown ISBs in .22LR

-Ruger
-Gemtech
-TacSol

Guess which model of rifle they fit...

Maybe leave an empty casing in to dry fire on?

Here is the T/CR .22 I was talking about. I just installed a Magpul M Lok bipod and got a couple Ruger BX 15 mags for it. This was a fun little project. Going to run 375 through it on Saturday.

All in including gun, sling, 2 BX-15 mags, centerpoint scope and Bipod I’m at exactly $600 invested.

I’ve got three. Never had a lick of troubles from any of them. I’ve modified one, but the other 2 are stock. What kind of problems do you have? Have you cleaned it well? Have you tried multiple types of ammo? It’s dimensions are pretty generic so I don’t understand it being uncomfortable.
