They did this before. Not sure why anyone buys from them no matter what the price.
Exactly. I haven't bought a single thing from them since the Obama scares. Anyone should be ashamed if they buy anything from them.

I was checking prices for 1000 rounds of 9mm the other day. Ended up ordering from sportsmansguide because it seemed like they were one of the only ones that hadn't jacked the prices up.
If you need ammo NOW, SGAmmo has in-stock S&B 1000rds 9mm for $250. Shipping is $16 and I believe no tax. This ammo use to go for $10/box, but this might be new pricing for a little while.

I like Lucky Gunner for ammo. Buy something from Sportsman's Guide as well periodically too.

I normally support SGAmmo and TargetsportsUSA, because they've been the cheapest.
In this case, I wouldn't do it. Need it "NOW"? Find a friend with a stash.
SGAmmo will take about a week.
If you do the backorder Sportsman's Guide, it's $50-90 less for a case of something comparable like Fiocchi, and they're stating it should ship 4/20.
If we all buy $250 cases, that WILL be the new normal.

Yesterday I was about to pull the trigger from SG for some Fiocci and it showed 4/13 availability. The 124gr states 6/1.
I just dont trust these backordered available dates, especially during this time.
I had put in an order for some American Eagle at Cabela's on 3/18 when it showed as available. Still haven't seen a ship date.

Now the Fiocci 9mm 115gr shows availability date 5/25.
It gets pushed back daily and their call center is closed?
GL.

I paid $0.27 a round for .223 (2000 rounds) just 2 months ago. Now it’s almost double the price. Ridiculous.

I scored at academy this morning. I was there soon after they opened looking for something for my wife (no pics). I glanced the ammo section and found 500 rounds of 9mm for $0.16/round. Winchester brand.

Gave my reloading table with press and legs away yesterday. Will find my dies and add them in too. All I asked is if ammo was made with quality, I would like some.

SGammo with plenty of different stock of 9mm now. All $250/case.

I'm a bit disappointed with SGammo jacking the prices up. Fiocchi and S&B were going for as low as 180 or so a case from them; that's a $70 markup.
I have plenty of stuff; I'd set a search on one of the services, and whenever good factory brass would drop under 18 cents a rd I'd get a notice. I got a case every so often, have a good bit left.
I don't need it now, and will wait for the prices to drop again. I did get some hollowpoints just in case. Otherwise, I'll hold off on shooting awhile.
If you want/need some specialty ammo, it's around. The site I got my Federal HP still has it, $18 a box of fifty. I don't have a 5-7, but that site also has that in stock.

It shipped the next day. It was only in stock a short while for the cheapest price I could find. Looks like they're keeping things updated. I would use SG again. My go to is Sgammo but it didn't seem like they had much and prices looked higher

I'm disappointed in Sgammo and a few other sites. I get it, capitalism at work, make a few bucks while you can.
The fact that Sportsmans Guide (and Cabelas/Bass Pro, of all places) is letting you pre-order at non-panic prices, tells me that manufacturers aren't jacking up the cost.
People, wait; preorder if you feel you need. It's not like you're going to burn up a lot of range fodder right now, most places are closed or limited times. And I'm going to bet your overpriced stuff doesn't ship in 2 days most of the time anyway.

Some 9mm for those in need; Sellier & Bellot

$215 a case, free shipping. I did a walkthrough, didn't complete the purchase (I have plenty ammo and will wait for things to drop); looked like they don't charge tax either.
A quick search seems to show it's reputable.

Ordered a case from Armsunlimited. Waiting for shipment info.
Yesterday (Thurs), ordered 5(max allowed) 150rd pack Winchester Nato 9mm from Academy. It said available date 4/16. Just got tracking ETA Monday!
Ordered from Cabela's on 3/18 when online showed as available, but its still backordered.

Looks like we're getting more back in stock but man the prices or still high. I'm glad I've already stocked up but we need an alarm system for when they go back down.
Btw if anybody wants some good dry fire practice, I'm in love with my Mantis x2

Academy has plenty of WWB 115gr if anyone just needs range ammo.
$39/200 rds, shipping($5) is fast too.

Ammo right now? What seasons are open? Turkey?
Posted on 4/20/20 at 3:13 pm to lsushelly
This is why you buy cases of the stuff when there are cases of the stuff
Other than cheap 12 guage target loads on sale somewhere I have not purchased anything but cases at a time from TargetSportsUSA
The free shipping always puts them over the top if you are looking around every once and a while.
Should have at least a few cases of anything you shoot sitting around just for times like this.
