I’ve had people see me with mine and none of them would be able to discern it from a pellet gun.
I suppose if they don’t know what they’re looking at, a pellet gun can be confused with a bolt action 22.
I shoot a suppressed bolt 22 in my backyard. The HOA will never know.

Go with a Beeman or Benjamin Marauder

I have an old Sheridan 20cal with a Williams peep sight that works great. Not quiet tho.

I don't know if they are still in business but look up Tim @ Mac 1 airguns, I think they were in California.
My 392 got his "Steroid" treatment and it now shoots on 14 pumps and is fast.

My .22 cal Benjamin Marauder works great. Neighbors were too close to safely use a .22. When I first moved to NWA, the squirrels were practically eating my deck and leaving marks all over it. Tried all kinds of things to deter them. The critters loved the stain I used one year. Restained it. Finally got me a Marauder, put a scope on it, sighted it in. I'm on 3 acres with a lot of trees so I had plenty of them. They finally stopped for the most part. But that first generation were downright destructive.
