Hypothetically speaking, if you did have too many, and were to think about selling them, what exactly would you be selling?

List them on Bayoushooter. Get the money from the person that wants them and hand them the guns.

And if it were me, print out a “firearm bill of sale” so you can keep a copy for your records. Its not required but better to CYA.

There's gun shows somewhere in south LA almost every weekend, Take them there show the dealers and sell to the highest bidder

That bill of sale is worth less than toilet paper.

Related, sorry if it's a derail:

A family member (non hunter/shooter) just gave me a few long guns he'd inherited. I'd rather take them to a shop and sell them as a lot than deal with multiple internet folks. Where would you go? Locally in NOLA, I've only dealt with Puglia's for a FFL transfer, and they were fine.

You’re absolutely right, super cheap and easy to do.

You're trying to sell them to the shop? I know a few take trades or buy them. Freedom brothers in Metairie does.

Post a list of them and your email and I can get you a bid on everything. Will require a few pictures

By far the most effective, hassle and scammer free way to sell anything, including guns, that I've found, is to pay the small fee for a yearly membership and put them in Mississippi Market Bulletin. People call from all over and are serious buyers, and because you can't read the contents without a membership, scammers are non-existent. Anytime I put a gun in there it sells with ease.

If that firearm was purchased through an FFL and if it's ever stolen by some oxygen thief and used in a crime, it'd sure be nice to show the law when, where and to whom you transferred the pistol to.

This is pretty bad advice coming from an
quote:

.

You should absolutely get a bill of sale, preferably with a waiver of warranty. The warranty waiver is nice to have, but as another poster pointed out, if a gun you sell is later used in some type of criminal activity, it's a whole lot easier to establish transfer of ownership via a bill of sale than pouring through your bank statement from whatever month you sold a gun 10 years ago trying to establish that $XXX came from the sale of a firearm.

Absolutely have a bill of sale executed.
