I just ordered the Terra with the light blue handle and satin blade, and the Havrog with the khaki handle and stone washed blade. Those are some damn good looking knives.

I don't know if they are top rated, but check out Pro Tech.

Microtech, ProTech, Benchmade probably make the best production autos. Kershaw Launch series is a good place for more budget friendly options. Gerber O6 that's a decent middle of the road option if you want something hefty.

Ain't what it used to be. Still good about replacing, but after breaking/chipping blade on Freeman folder 2x in about a year, I said f- it

I have several microtechs and a couple of Benchmade.

If you aren’t 1st responder, Benchmade won’t work on their automatics ( I may be wrong on this but it’s what their website says).

The microtech ultratech is one of the better ones. I have 3 and gave my daughter one to carry while away at school for protection. Also have a combat troodon that is great.
Their warranty is very good.

Cheap knives are cheap knives. Expensive knives are more about how you feel about them than how they perform.

Got the Havrog in last week and the Terra came in yesterday. They are bough some hefty feeling knives, I'll tell ya that! I dont see myself carrying the Havrog as an EDC, but more of a hiking/camping/hunting carry because the handle is a little thicker than I like for every day. But that Terra, sheeeeeeeit! that one is a slick knife. Glad I went with the light blue handle as everything else in my arsinal is mostly hunter's green or tan. That light blue is a nice change, and looks really nice with the satin blade. Very pleased with these products, although we will see how they hold up over time.

Cheapest knife I own is a $10 Benchmade knockoff from Walmart lol.

D2 steel, slide lock folder.

It's been a beast for the price.

After this thread, I bought a Milwaukee folder from Home Depot. $14 and it’s very solid and very sharp. Great tool knife that you can bang around hard. Red scales is the only downside, but a little black Sharpie action fixed that. There are 2 sizes with a $12 version too that is a little smaller.

China blades are ok until they need sharpening.
