They are very accurate, but obviously I biased towards the 1911 platform. I am objective in my thinking though. I believe from my experience that a good revolver and a good 1911 would be millimeters apart in terms of accuracy out of a vice.
A M&P style pistol will be centimeters out from the 1911 and revolvers.
They are all negligible distances but I believe the 1911 is the most accurate out the box.

It seems like 3" at 100 yards isn't that much of a stretch for a super redhawk, and the super blackhawk groups seem to be a little bit wider. I guess that's understandable because of how drastically overbuilt the redhawk is. I think the barrel has 2" of thread in that big nasty piece of extended frame.
I'd love to kick the shite some more tonight, but I gotta go try to get some sleep. Damn pair of finals tomorrow.

50 yards from a vice and rest with a 1911, granted that is handloads

Very impressive. I'm assuming that's 1" squares?
Posted on 5/10/12 at 8:49 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
i would assume so too, thats some custom gun made by a guy in bossier

Looks like it since that's bout 1/2" holes.
Impressive for something with a 5" barrel and open sights even if it was in a vice.
