Nope, here's a tilefish pic. Tilefish have a tail like a regular fish while bearded brotula have tails like eels.

Tree, I used to think the same thing but after killing thousands of Mangroves, I realized that all Mangroves do the same thing. Can't tell you how many times I had my fingers mashed before I just flat made a rule never attempt to unhook one without the aid of good pliers...
The Cubera I caught was problaby 40lbs and there is no mistaking them once you've seen them in person.

I also caught a puffer fish of the jetties in destin
Would have made a great pic if I didn't go snorkeling with the camera in my pocket.
When I saw the title of the thread, I immediately thought of a bigeye snapper.

Tough call, but probably a Spearfish in the GOM.
212 lb swordfish was pretty badass as well.
Couple of big marlin.
frick, now I dont know. Maybe a rooster in Costa Rica.

Hmmm nothing really unusual. My best trophy so far has been my 85# yf followed closely by the 35# jack from this past weekend.

Mine was a steelhead caught on the Situk River. Not sure what he weighed but he was definitely a monster. F'ker fought like a champ too.
