Not sure. I haven’t bought a bag of corn in years.

They can make better margins on seed and chemicals

I can tell you that. They make like $0.10 a bag of corn

Good lord yall post some retarded shite on here. Feed stores mark our corn up a minimum of $1 bag. Some places like gas stations mark it up $3+. You really think a feed store would handle 10,000 bags of corn to make .10/bag?

You think Costco sells rotisserie chickens for $5 for fun?

It gets them in the door for the rest of their business.

I'll preface this by saying, I don't personally bait. However, I've seen a lot of places in Union Parish and that area of the state that are made up of huge pine plantations. There's zero management going on which results in an area so thick a human can't walk through it, much less see more than 5 yards.

These guys have to hunt on roads, pipelines or power rights of ways and are basically trying to lure a deer out of that thick stuff. There are little to no oaks or other food sources for the deer. If I were in one of those situations, I would more than likely be piling up the corn as well.

Lease somewhere else
Save up and take out a loan and buy some land
Hunt public

True but I dont think he said anything about the creepy crawlers. Just that if corn happens to fall off the atv while riding my own land, well crap, would you look at that

We hunt in the thickest stuff in the state. We quit baiting one year, and plotting out the number of deer killed YoY, you could never tell what year it was.

Baiting is flat out stupid. I hate the government as much as the next man so I don't want it banned, i just want EVERYONE to quit doing it. The whole experience of hunting would improve for everyone, but unfortunately we must have bigger bait piles than our neighbors less they kill OUR camera bucks.

Not everyone has the means to do so….and why would you hunt public when for $500 a year you can hunt a timber company track where you can pile corn up.

Again, I don’t bait, but not everyone has access or the means I may have.

I believe baiting is most of the reason CWD is so wide spread, but the corn/Ag lobby is strong.

I own land in LA and MS and support proactive state wide bans instead of this reactive parish by parish BS.

The number of counties in MS with positive tests has tripled in the last 3 years and it’s just a matter of time before we are all up in the middle of it.

Kroll is bought and paid for by the deer farming industry. I think he even supports being able to transport captive whitetails between enclosures will nilly.
