You were a great pair of jeans. You only had three belt loops that were still attached, you had long been demoted from every day wear to grass cutting and painting. But dammit, I loved you. Unfortunately, crotch blowouts are a terminal diagnosis. Alas, my jeans.

I salute your life with a double Maker’s and Coke.

You should have sold them to somebody in Japan for twice what you paid for them.

Rip old friend. Losing a pair of properly worn in jeans is worthy of a double makers salute.

Couldn't fix the hole with zip ties and turn them in to mowing jorts?

ETA: A few years ago I turned a pair in to jorts and I had my wife sew them up at each end with a lil hole. Poured sand in and sewed it shut. I use them to sight in/check my rifles now.

Yes, then I just decided to leave it after I realized my typo. I thought it still appropriate.

Well done sir. A great piece of clothing or shoes deserves a Viking funeral.

Viking funeral and you could have extended the usefulness by making rags or otherwise repurposing the denim.

Regardless, here's to jeans that appeared to have a great life.
