I say buy her all the badass setups you can, then bring her fishing on a miserable, cold, raining, no-fish-biting day. That way she'll hate it and never want to go again, and you're stuck with all this badass fishing equipment and you'll have no choice but to use it so it doesn't get rusty

this might be the best advice ever given on this board.

My husband "takes" me fishing every time. Because I have been fishing much longer than him and my families camp is an hour and a half closer to home than his.

Prolly a lot more fun to take the GF fishing than the wife. I go fishing to escape the latter.

My wife fishes off the pier at the camp with me, but thats about it. She'll catch 5 or 10 and then walk back up to the camp.

I bring my Aunt fishing wtih me a lot of times. She's pretty damn good at it though and knows the spillway like the back of her hand.

If you have a hot wife, bring her fishing. Make sure she is in proper attire...(small bathing suit) Take lots of pictures of any fish she catches... Post to OB.....

Do you go fishing with the former to escape the latter?

My wife grew up fishing in their pond, so any time I mention going to the mountains to trout fish she always wants to go. Its a blessing and a curse

Remember when I was young we would go out to our camp in the summertime. Would fish off the pier and also had a birm. to break the waves rolling in. Anyway, my Grandmother and her sister would come out and get their cane poles and sit and fish all day. They had to be at least in their 70's and the temp I know was in the 90's. They had on full dress skirts, blouse old timey stuff and a bonnet on their heads. And they would sit there and fish all day.

Noooooooooo, I still regret taking my wife to her first Tiger football game. She said, “I didn’t know it was this much fun!”
